" IS ABOUT ALL EFFORTS THAT HAPPEN BEHIND THE SCENES…

WHICH ESSENTIALLY TAKES UP A HUGE PORTION AND REQUIRES A LARGE AMOUNT OF ENERGY

WHATEVER HAPPENS THERE… CAN NOT BE DISREGARDED
IT IS WHERE ALL THE STORIES OFTEN MISSED BY THE EYES ARE KEPT…
THE MOST IMPORTANT IS… ITS MEANING FOR KNOWLEDGE

TO MAKE A CHANGE... FOR OUR GENERATIONS
"

Passion towards Indonesian culture and the will to preserve it are the reasons why Thresia Mareta established LAKON Indonesia. With the vision of bringing Indonesia’s handmade works to the worldwide stage, LAKON Indonesia’s existence was started with a fashion presentation titled The Chapter in Jakarta on April 2018. And afterwards, LAKON Indonesia consistently held yearly presentations which have succeeded in giving new life to the fashion industry of Indonesia and bring changes to the execution of culture preservation in Indonesia.

Thresia Mareta studied Architecture in Tarumanegara University, Jakarta. Following her graduation, she worked in the furniture company Vinoti. In 2003, Thresia established Sequins Bride, a bridal and party fashion label. Her interest in education and her care towards humanitarian problems led to her involvement as one of the concept makers and as Project Director for the construction of Pahoa Kindergarten in Summarecon Serpong, Tangerang in 2011. This school, built with a green concept, won 7 international awards for its architecture and was praised as a futuristic model for schools by an expert on Sustainable City from World Resources Institute, America.

Her career continued to move dynamically through her experiences in various fields, one of which is leading STAR Department Store, which has 3 stores, since 2013. Going through the pandemic, STAR was acknowledged by its suppliers as one of the most reliable department stores.

Thresia is very interested in a lot of things. From architecture, fashion, and art, to living environment and education. Every one of these strengthens her execution in every field she handles and makes this woman an inspirational figure who is consistent in preserving the nation’s culture through her efforts empowering the community from the creative side in the fashion industry.

" There is a concern... about Culture.

Indonesia has lost so many skills in art and culture. Even more during pandemics. It has become more and more fragile with the rapid development of technology.

We need to explore, reminded, and maintain our basic principle as that is our root, to be able to grow as a nation.

We believe that preserving culture is not about archiving but more of an action to preserve the "basic principle", the skill, and the craftsmen themselves.

How to pass it on from generation to generation.

To keep the identity alive... "
